Advanced Dining Reservations
What Are Advanced Dining Reservations at Walt Disney World?
If you’re planning a Walt Disney World vacation, one of the most important steps in creating your dream itinerary is securing Advanced Dining Reservations (ADRs). With hundreds of dining options across the parks, resorts, and Disney Springs, knowing how ADRs work can help you score a table at your must-try restaurants—whether that’s dinner with Cinderella, breakfast with Mickey, or a gourmet evening at California Grill.
What Are Advanced Dining Reservations?
Advanced Dining Reservations are Disney’s system for booking table-service dining experiences in advance. These include sit-down restaurants, character meals, buffets, and even signature fine dining locations. Because many restaurants fill up quickly, ADRs are essential for ensuring you get to enjoy the dining experiences you’ve been dreaming of.
When Can You Make Dining Reservations?
The booking window depends on where you’re staying:
Disney Resort Guests: You can make reservations 60 days before your check-in date, plus you can book dining for up to 10 days of your stay at that time.
Example: If your vacation starts July 1, you can book all your dining from July 1–10 on May 2.
Non-Resort Guests: You can make reservations 60 days before each dining date (one day at a time).
This early access gives Disney Resort guests a big advantage for securing popular restaurants that often book up quickly.
How to Make Advanced Dining Reservations
You can make ADRs in a few different ways:
My Disney Experience app – the fastest and easiest option
DisneyWorld.com – via your account
By phone – call (407) WDW-DINE
Reservations typically open online at 6:00 a.m. Eastern Time, so early birds definitely get the best choices!
Popular Restaurants That Book Up Fast
Some restaurants are especially hard to get, even at 60 days out. Consider setting an early alarm for these fan favorites:
Cinderella’s Royal Table (Magic Kingdom)
‘Ohana (Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort)
Be Our Guest (Magic Kingdom)
Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera (Disney’s Riviera Resort)
Space 220 (EPCOT)
Chef Mickey’s (Disney’s Contemporary Resort)
What Happens If You Can’t Get a Reservation?
Don’t worry—plans change! Guests often cancel reservations closer to their vacation. You can:
Check back daily in the My Disney Experience app
Use a dining alert service like Mouse Dining or Steakout to get notified when a table opens
Try walk-up lists at select restaurants (available via the app or in person)
Quick-Service vs. Table-Service Dining
While ADRs are needed for table-service restaurants, many quick-service locations (counter-service spots) don’t require reservations. For those, you can use Mobile Order in the My Disney Experience app to order ahead—saving time and skipping the line.
Travel Genie Tip
If dining is a highlight of your trip, plan your park days around your dining reservations instead of the other way around. Some of Disney’s best meals are found at resort hotels, making them perfect for a relaxed, non-park day.
