RunDisney Events at Walt Disney World: Where Every Mile is Magic
If you love Disney and running, there’s truly nothing quite like a runDisney event at Walt Disney World. These races combine the magic of Disney Parks with the excitement of running through some of the most iconic locations on Earth. From the early-morning fireworks start to the character meet-and-greets along the course, runDisney races transform fitness goals into magical memories.
What Is runDisney?
runDisney is Disney’s official endurance race series, held at both Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and Disneyland Resort in California. Each event weekend offers a range of race distances — typically a 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, and sometimes a Full Marathon — along with challenges for runners who complete multiple races over the same weekend.
These events welcome participants of all levels, from seasoned marathoners to first-time runners and even walkers. Costumes are encouraged, and many participants run dressed as their favorite Disney characters.
Walt Disney World runDisney Event Weekends
There are four main runDisney weekends held annually at Walt Disney World:

This is the flagship runDisney event, drawing runners from around the globe. It’s the only weekend that includes the Full Marathon, a 26.2-mile course through all four Disney parks.
Distances: 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, Full Marathon
Challenges: Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge (Half + Full) and Dopey Challenge (5K, 10K, Half, and Full — four races in four days!)
Highlight: The only opportunity to run through all four Walt Disney World theme parks in a single race!
